Plant, Forage & Grain Analysis
Plant nitrate samples are most important when there is concern of nitrate accumulation in plants that may have a negative effect on animals. The level of plant nitrate is analyzed on a dry matter basis and is reported as parts per million (ppm) nitrate (NO3). With the result report, a chart will be sent with the effect on animals at each NO3 concentration.
Protein analysis is also available for plant, forage, and grain samples. This analysis is important in determining the quality of plant material, forage, and grain as a livestock feed.
