    The selected candidate will lead independent research to develop novel approaches for analysis of field-based high-throughput phenotyping data. Specific tasks include development of novel algorithms and software tools for rapid assessment of physiological traits from geo-referenced vehicle-mounted and remotely sensed data using model inversion. The candidate must be able to work in a multi-cultural setting and create an environment that fosters collegiality, diversity, and teamwork. Review of applicants will commence on April 1, 2013 and continue until a suitable candidate is found.

  • Research Associate, Weed Physiology:
    The selected candidate will conduct independent research to understand the mechanism of weed resistance to herbicides using radiolabelled herbicides, HPLC, greenhouse and field trials. They will conduct experiments to determine herbicide uptake and translocation in weeds and to determine herbicide metabolism and altered target site. Publication of research results in peer-reviewed scientific journals, and securing extramural funding is expected. Candidate will also be responsible for the training of graduate and undergraduate students. The candidate must be able to work in a multi-cultural setting and create an environment that fosters collegiality, diversity and teamwork.
